In the early 80's The Leaders were one of Long Island's most popular original bands. They played New York and Long Island's hottest clubs: Max's Kansas City, Trax, My Father's Place and The Northstage Theatre. The Leaders released two singles on their own label and even landed on the radio charts in Boston. The Leaders went their separate ways in the mid 80's, pursuing both musical and non-musical interests. Now Bob Blatchley, vocals and guitar, and Allan Fox, vocals, guitar and keyboards, have reunited with drummer Rick Cash and are joined by bass player/vocal Peggy Cash in the latest incarnation of The Leaders. Their original music is best described as melodic rock influenced by pop/rock from the 60's through today with elements of reggae, world and jazz thrown into the mix.
