The word is written in devanagari, the alphabet used to ancient Sanskrit. Devanagiri literally means "city of the gods." The beautiful matte finish silver pendant of this necklace has an engraved relief of the word OM written in devanagiri on the front and transilterated as "OM" on the reverse.
