Tibetan Singing Bowl - 12" Diameter

Each singing bowl is made with seven special "bell metals" which are hand-hammered until the metal "softens" and begins to sing with its own unique and complex voice. This singing bowl is 12” wide and 5” in height and includes a wooden striker with leather trim. Each Seven Metals Singing bowl has a unique sound.

Used for meditation and prayer, the singing bowl is often used within Tibetan Buddhism to accompany mudras, prayers, and hymns. When it is rung gently with its hammer, a vibration can be felt in the brass that is said to help remove negative energy, and find peace within meditation. It is also said to make the singing bowl a powerful tool for aligning the chakras and other similar ritual practice. Singing bowls are also commonly used to cleanse a ritual space before intensive prayer.
